In this role, you will lead the development of the strategy planning and decision-making process for Retail Product to ensure there is strong engagement and acts as an enabler for investment decisions across Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB), entity and across the region. This role supports the Head ofProduct Operations, WPB.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Deliver high-quality analytical work for a wide range of projects, including strategic plans, ad hoc strategic reviews, major capital expenditure projects, competitor benchmarking;
- Lead the development and strategy planning for Retail Product. Participate in the development of HSBC's Wealth & Personal Banking strategy and business plans in Australia, in line with Group Strategy;
- Help define business problems, developing a clear hypothesis that challenges the way we think and supports process improvement and redesign of end to end processes as part of the Firms strategic transformation programs
- Work closely with the Global Businesses and Functions to monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, transformation initiatives and operational performance;
- Assist in the preparation of key documentation such as reporting to Australia and Region, governance forums including Executive Committee and Board.
- Support on large scale business transformation programs across HSBC
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- University degree with a high level of experience in a leading strategy organisation. Strategy experience at a corporate or business level is also a requisite.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, political, competitors etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven senior stakeholder experience.
- Strong, problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to use numerical data to develop strategic plans and be able to respond to changes, based on movement in the market.
- Highly structured with strong attention to detail.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
