The Position
Through its Hort Frontiers 2.0 program, Hort Innovation is embarking on significant investment transformation that will focus on high-impact commercially oriented investments. By 2030, the Hort Frontiers 2.0 program will unlock a staggering $500 million of Investment opportunity through new and diverse delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities:
This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to:
- Spearhead the Hort Frontiers 2.0 investment program
- Provide a unique opportunity within the Australian Horticulture industry to contribute to R&D innovation and forge new investment partnerships on a global scale
- Take a lead on commercial research investment in Australian Horticulture, with a sustainable approach to supporting grower prosperity and sector growth
- Engage from the paddock to the boardroom, you will collaborate closely with industry stakeholders and the Hort Innovation team to implement a ground breaking investment framework, attracting international investors and Commercial partners.
We are keen to hear from you if you have the following skills, experience and key attributes:
- A proven track record in developing strategic accounts or partnerships, ideally with large global enterprise customers, preferably in agriculture
- Possess a strong commercial orientation which is crucial as this is the key foundational skill set
- Experience leading teams as this role also presents the opportunity of building a team to support the delivery of new investments
- A passion for driving sustainable impact in Australian horticulture is essential for success in this role
- You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, embracing the challenge of navigating grey spaces and contributing to building something significant
- Comfort with new and evolving technology, particularly those revolutionizing the marketplace will be highly valued
- Experience in the start-up ecosystem would be an asset, and a strong customer-centric philosophy is a must.
