What you’ll be doing

This is a significant strategy and leadership role, responsible for the oversight of Line Operations for Virgin Australia. This role is a key part of the Flight Operations Leadership team supporting the Chief Pilot in maintaining safety and regulatory performance in operations. A key part of this role is leading, engaging and developing the flight crew who operate our aircraft. 

In this senior leadership position you will drive operational excellence in Flight Operations but also for the wider Operations Group. You will be a key participant in developing and executing on the Flight Operations strategy to be the best-in-class Flight Operations Division. As a result, your role will be to identify, evaluate, and execute transformation opportunities. 

You’ll be great for this role if you...

• Are a proven senior leader in Air Operations with more than 5 years’ experience in strategic leadership
• Have a strong record of success in driving transformational programs with a demonstrated ability to lead, engage and develop Flight Crew teams.
• Excellent stakeholder, negotiation, and conflict management skills;  
• A strong, visible, and charismatic leader of people with the communication and dynamic leadership skills required to motivate and lead the operations aspect of Flight Operations.
• Ability to hold alternate Head of Flying Operations (Chief Pilot) approval
