Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. About the Opportunity
Due to growth within the company, we are seeking a Head of Mid-Stream Operations to join our team in a full-time permanent capacity. The position reports to the Executive General Manager – Transmission Operations.
The Head of Mid-Stream Operations is responsible for leading the mid-stream operations within the Transmission Operations division, providing strategic focus and leadership of the Mid-Stream department. The role has specific focus on occupational, process safety, and reliability of all Mid-Stream operations. The role is required to set strategic and tactical goals in support of the companies Vision and Values. This role will lead stakeholder engagement both internal and external to ensure an efficient and effective operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the department in the provision of quality services and professional approach to all customers.
- Lead the department in providing safe and reliable operations for customers.
- Support asset management and commercial teams to deliver an integrated operation.
- Play a supporting role in responding to breakdown and emergencies in support of safe and effective restoration of service.
- Support the delivery of technical project enhancements, operational integration and manage operational project interface.
- Provide and set technical and operational strategic improvements in support of delivering the Transmission Operations strategic focus.
- Monitor the performance of the facility/operational site, identifying areas for improvement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support strategic and key infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated leadership and technical understanding of design, construction, commissioning, and handover of process plant facilities.
- Ability to cope with emergency situations utilising clear decision-making skills.
About You
- Tertiary education in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, instrument), or related Industry specific qualifications
- Cert. III Process Plant Operations (minimum)
- Detailed knowledge of asset management and financial management systems, preferably MAXIMO and SAP
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards as applied to process plant operations
- Proven abilities in Operations and management of complex process plant.
- Extensive knowledge of the application of Process Safety principles within hazardous operations
- Detailed knowledge of both above ground and below ground operational equipment
