The Opportunity
The Head of ANZ Projects is a critical leadership position within Gentrack that is responsible for the successful delivery of our software solutions to clients across the ANZ region. This role ensures that projects are executed efficiently, meeting all required specifications and client expectations. By overseeing a team of project specialists, the Head of ANZ Projects drives the execution of multiple concurrent projects, manages resources effectively, reports on the progress of the project portfolio and mitigates risks to ensure project success. Additionally, the role supports the presales team with expertise in tender responses and project pricing, contributing to business growth and client acquisition.
You will work closely with the Engineering and Customer Success Teams to ensure projects are staffed and the workforce is effectively managed, that budget expectations for the project are being met and projects are seamlessly transitioned to operations, providing the best outcome for our customers.
The Specifics
- Oversee all projects being executed in ANZ, conducting frequent reviews and reporting the status of the project and overall portfolio to Senior Leadership
- Maintain an internal RAIDD register for all projects, coordinating with relevant project team members and reporting to the APAC Leadership Team.
- Responsible for “coaching” the customer and the Gentrack project teams through the project lifecycle in attaining the objectives of scope, quality, budget and timeline, following best practices.
- Identifies and mitigates risks on all large and strategic project engagements across Australia and New Zealand
- Measure and report progress of key deliverables across all projects across the ANZ
- Maintains best project management practices across the ANZ
- Ensures engagement reviews (pre, current and post) and post project reviews are conducted
- Reviews project estimates and revenue forecasts, contribute to the budget forecast and review process
- Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of project delivery and the project lifecycle
- Liaise with Engineering and Customer Success to ensure that project resources are forecast and communicated to key stakeholders
- Grows long-term relationships with strategic customers through the project lifecycle
- Working with PMO to continuously update and improve the project practice
- Manage and mentor a team of project specialists, including project managers, business analysts, and industry consultants.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team
- Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for team
- Contribute as a key member of the APAC Operations Leadership Team
- Collaborate with the presales team to respond to tender requests and provide accurate project pricing.
- Support the development of proposals and presentations for potential clients, attend customer pre-sales workshops as required
- Provide guidance and advice to pre-sales teams and customers on project methodology, best practice and ensure these are represented in all contracts and Statements of Work
- In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your manager.

- Professional knowledge, accreditation and proven experience in relation to program management
- Experience in leading large scale transformation project delivery, project and portfolio management processes, practices and methodologies
