About the role
This is a newly created role within Grok. As our new technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and enacting strategy around the Grok platform to develop and enhance customer experiences across Grok, in line with our company goals.

As Product Manager you will drive the technical product strategy, manage the product roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and enhancements. This role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.
What you’ll do
Product Strategy:
- Work with the Chief Product Officer to develop and communicate a clear technical product vision and strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to identify opportunities for the Grok Platform to support product streams across the company.
- Conduct market research and gather feedback to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer and end user needs.
- Keep up with technical trends in the edtech industry and in general, and make recommendations on leveraging new technologies to grow our impact
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the technical features of the Grok Platform.
- Provide guidance to engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks.
Roadmap Management:
- Create and maintain a product roadmap prioritising features based on business value and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery timelines.
- Feature Definition and Requirements:
- Define detailed requirements for new features, including user stories and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product designers to create intuitive user experiences.
Metrics Development:
- Own quarterly planning for the platform product and define and develop OKRs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and success of the Grok Platform.
- Analyse data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and rallying them around a vision of success for the product.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, empowering them to grow and excel in their roles.
- Contribute to developing and maturing the discipline of product management at Grok and fostering a product-centric culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including executives, Product Managers, engineers, designers, educators, marketers, and sales teams. Collaborate effectively to drive alignment and execution on product initiatives.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about education and technology and finds themselves drawn to and aligned with Grok Academy's mission, keen to make meaningful impact in the space.
You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Solid years of experience in technical product management, preferably in edtech or online learning.
You understand and truly are wizard of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with engineering teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making. You’re not just a leader; you're a proactive force, driving and owning initiatives from conception to execution with unparalleled determination. With your strategic acumen and persuasive communication skills, you navigate change with finesse, turning challenges into opportunities for growth. You embrace self-driven learning opportunities to elevate your impact and deliver outstanding results independently.

Location
This position can be based anywhere in Australia.
Travel: Because this may be a remote role, the applicant would need to be prepared to travel. The time spent on travel is estimated to be 30%.
