Eden Marine High School (550 students including 75 Aboriginal students) is situated on the far south coast of NSW.
The school has strong links to the community through the P&C, the local AECG and other organisations. The school offers a broad academic and vocational curriculum to cater for the diverse needs of students and is focused on ensuring all students develop the skills they need to be successful both now and in their future. The school currently has four classes that provide personalised learning and support for students with diverse learning needs.
Selection CriteriaApplicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in leading the design and implementation of innovative differentiated and personalised teaching and learning programs to support the academic growth and achievement of students with complex needs, including autism, physical disability and challenging behaviours.
- Exemplary organisational skills and demonstrated capacity to use technology to effectively develop and implement data-informed strategies, plans and individualised support for students with complex learning needs.
- Collaborative, proactive school leader with demonstrated capacity to work effectively with the school executive team to lead the implementation of systems, processes and initiatives that address whole school priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate high trust relationships with students, parents and carers, and demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with external services and staff across the school to support the transition, learning and wellbeing of students with complex needs.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
