Each year, we help thousands of young people, and their family and friends, access vital support through our headspace Services in over 145 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
Job Description
- Full-time or part-time (0.8-1FTE) flexible on-going position

As the headspace Services Manager your days will offer a wide range of experiences to enable hope for your communities. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary/service team and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supporting the senior leadership group with care and clear and effective planning.
- Overseeing strategic planning, operational accountability including quality and reporting, and further develop functional systems and relationships internal and external to the service.
- Creating high levels of engagement and enhance the capabilities of those around you will allow you to build upon workforce capability, coach and manage.
- Supporting the development a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the service.

Qualifications
Our dedicated headspace Knox & Lilydale teams are looking for a leader experienced in managing multidisciplinary teams combined with a strong background in youth early intervention and clinical services.
This unique opportunity to make a difference will combine your knowledge of child and youth mental health and your passion for providing the right services at the right time for young people. You will be a highly motivated multitasker with exceptional communication and listening skills, as well as proven capabilities in negotiating, developing, and managing cooperative relationships. Bringing your sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, you will be expected to act through strong leadership, monitoring the service flow and care coordination.
If you hold a tertiary qualification in the relevant health field (e.g. Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Nursing), then you might be the person we’re looking for!

This role leads the youth-focused mental health headspace Knox and Lilydale centres while working in conjunction with the Clinical lead and leadership group. You will be required to partner with appropriate networks within the local community, the broader youth and mental health sectors, and with funding and peak bodies to achieve realistic, mutually beneficial goals.
