The Health and Safety Advisor operating collaboratively with Project Managers, will guide our workers and stakeholders to safely undertake their work and assist the ongoing successful delivery of the project. You will promote and improve the Health and Safety culture and manage Health and Safety systems and processes that minimise injury and illness. Field based Civil safety experience required Projects currently in Wellington and Orange Responsibilities: The Health and Safety Advisor - Projects will lead the implementation of the project Health and Safety plans to ensure projects are delivered in line with legislative and client requirements. Maintain Health and Safety reporting systems and actively engage with staff to facilitate a reporting culture to monitor incidents and injuries and identify risks. Health and Safety and environmental performance KPI monitoring to the client’s requirements. Collaborate with workers to improve hazard inspections and internal audit processes on Health and Safety hazards and risks. Conduct Risk Assessments, develop and review SWMS, undertake hazard reporting and proactive safety measures. Conduct employee inductions and training Assist with the Management of the internal audit process for major projects and the preparation and submission to the client as required under the contract. Knowledge and experience required: Experience in Health and Safety â?? preferably on project work Relevant qualifications - minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle, organise and prioritise multiple tasks and able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines, where required. Current First Aid Certificate preferred. Operating knowledge of Heavy Plant & Equipment preferably in a construction environment Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs For more information about this role, please contact **@maasgroup.com.au
