Just imagine a future where households and businesses can generate their own energy and sell it back to the grid, ultimately connecting communities and empowering lives. Are you ready to play your part in an evolving industry?

Ausgrid is on an exciting transformation journey and now is the time to be a part of something big. We are proud to service Australia’s east coast, as a leading business in energy distribution, delivering a safe and reliable electricity supply to more than 1.8 million homes – that’s over four million Australians relying on us every day.

Our vision is simple; for our communities to have the power for a resilient, affordable net zero future.

We take pride in knowing that the work we collectively achieve today, will transform the world tomorrow. We value a culture of working and living safely, being customer focussed, commercially minded, collaborative, honest, accountable, and respectful. Our values are not just initiatives driven by leaders; they define the way we work.

Your new role

Join our dynamic team as a Health and Safety Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with our Health and Safety team to drive the ongoing development, implementation, and refinement of our Health and Safety Management System and associated processes. Your keen eye for innovation will be essential as you actively identify and quantify opportunities for change, system enhancements, and the integration of new technologies to align with our organisational objectives.

In this role, you'll be responsible for facilitating the review, evaluation, and implementation of feedback received throughout the organisation, ensuring our Health and Safety Systems remain at the forefront of best practices. Your commitment to maintaining the currency of our Health and Safety Management System will be instrumental in upholding our standards of excellence.

Additionally, you'll deliver high-level performance, productivity, and benchmarking analysis as required, providing valuable insights to drive organisational success. Your involvement in the facilitation of our Health and Safety Strategy and other relevant projects will ensure a seamless transition to implementation, supporting our mission of prioritising safety at every level.

Spark our interest!

Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but we also take into consideration your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.

Energise us through your skills and qualifications in:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experiences in a similar role.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.
  • Demonstrated research, analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to undertake research, gather and analyse content and provide clear findings.
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Established interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of stakeholder groups.
