With a strong portfolio of successful ventures and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a talented Health and Safety Officer to assist in the delivery of projects up to $100 million.
Role Overview:
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution of safety training and methods on residential construction projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce Health and Safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on safety-related matters, including risk assessments, method statements, and Safety training.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Cert IV in occupational Health and Safety, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in occupational Health and Safety is highly desirable.
