The Situation:
Due to a 12-month secondment, our client is looking for a Health & Safety Manager to lead the safety team, develop systems, provide strategic guidance and offer support to the workplace.
Duties:
- Provide advice and establish strategic plans to maintain position as an industry leader in H&S
- Manage the ongoing compliance to the H&S governance framework
- Promote and contribute to ideas and improvements
- Provide information for tenders that meet the needs of clients
- Develop strategies for new contracts and acquisitions
- Maintain an up to date understanding of various regulatory regimes to ensure systems meet legal requirements
- Manage and oversee development of crisis management framework
- Monitor incident investigations and ensure compliance
- Formal tertiary qualifications in H&S or related field
- Experience in IS45001 based management systems
- Experience providing H&S support to leaders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
