Viva Energy Retail is a mobility and convenience division of Viva Energy Australia with a high-quality national network of fuel and convenience stores located in metro, regional and on main transport routes, and provides an advantaged position to serve the on-road and local suburban convenience markets.
About the roleAs the Health & Wellbeing Advisor, you care passionately for our injured team members by providing case management support and technical advice to facilitate effective claim closure outcomes across the Coles Express / Viva Energy Retail business, which in turn improves team member wellbeing.
You’ll also:
- Provide expert Early Intervention and RTW advice to the team members within the portfolio
- Reduce the health, social and financial impact of work related injuries / illness on team members stay at work / return to work strategies
- Reduce the direct and indirect costs of workers compensation
- Provide injured Team Members, Treaters and Line Managers with accurate, timely and appropriate information that is relevant to their roles / responsibilities
- Assist the business to meet our legislative and self-insurance licensing injury management / return to work obligations
- Actively participate in case debriefs and monthly case reviews to continually extend skills across team in effective claim resolution
You will have significant experience in a safety advisory capacity as well as significant experience assisting injured / ill persons to stay at work / return to work.
You’ll also have:
- Health related degree (Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or related health science field) is highly regarded
- Experience within a workers compensation environment either within an Insurer, Self-Insurer, Employer or Rehabilitation Provider is essential
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills as well as strong negotiation and engagement skills
- Strong ability to deliver through others, and the ability to interface and influence at all levels of business and with external stakeholders
