The role
We are currently seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced individual to lead, further develop and manage the Health and Fitness service area across two sites, Aqualife and Leisurelife.
Reporting to the Leisure Facilities Programs Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the gym, group fitness, creche, and community-based programs across both facilities, Aqualife and Leisurelife.
With an active membership of 3,400 members, the role requires initiative, execution and accountability to effectively drive the successful operation of the health and fitness team forward.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Demonstrated leadership background showcasing self-drive, excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, and a talent for inspiring others
- Strong organizational skills enabling effective planning, coordination, and management of both individual tasks and your team
- Exceptional communication skills, encompassing both verbal and written proficiency to convey information, provide feedback, and sustain transparent communication channels with team members and external stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, including the capacity to create, oversee, and adhere to budgets
- Tertiary qualification in Recreation or equivalent competency and experience in the field.
- First Aid certificate, police clearance and driver’s license
