Health Information Quality Officer

The role:

• Undertake quality assurance processes and activities to identify opportunities for improving the content and accuracy of Health Information and health records, ensuring service delivery standards are met.
• Provide administrative support to Health Information Services (HIS) and undertake a supervisory role of Health Information Officers regarding daily tasks and quality control work.
• Provide subject matter expertise and training to staff regarding the review and evaluation of practice to ensure documents align with AS 2828 Health Records and Agency policies, protocols, and guidelines.
• Raise, collate, and compile regular and ad hoc reports for senior management/committees regarding failed electronic transmissions and/or anomalies to support action and service delivery improvements.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $71,661 to $77,455 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Minimum 3 years' experience working in a health records environment.
• Sound skills in the area of information management, data analysis, and statistics.
• Driver's Licence for intrastate travel.
