Position Overview: We are currently seeking aRegistered Nurse/ EnrolledNurse to join our friendly practice in Aldinga and to provide high quality care to our patients.
About the role:
Skills and experience
Applicants should have GP clinic experience and be able to drive the nursing standards and processes with the following skills and requirements:
- Current APHRA registration as registered or enrolled nurse
- Experience in Chronic Disease Management and Treatment Room Procedures
- Familiar with MBS care plan and health assessment item numbers
- Able to communicate well with patients and colleagues
- Able to establish an effective recall and reminder system for patients
- Efficient time management and multi-tasking ability
- Professional presentation and attitude
Roles and responsibilities
- Prepare & support GP's in Chronic Disease Management, Health Assessments, and Medication Reviews
- Liaise with all members of the health care team to ensure services are well coordinated
- Assisting GPs with Treatment Room procedures including excision of lesions, wound dressings and removal of sutures
- Performing ECG and other tests such as spirometry and Doppler
- Immunizations
- Maintain and monitor Infection control
- Patient recalls and reminders
- Maintain accreditation standards in support with the Practice Manager and Practice Principal
