About the Opportunity
The Health Promotion Service are looking for someone who is engaging, driven and has an outgoing personality to bring fresh ideas and build strong relationships and partnerships. What You'll be Doing
The role is primarily responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of preventative health programs for priority populations, supporting clinical and primary care multi-risk factor assessment and referral to preventative health programs as well as tobacco and vaping related programs.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Tertiary qualifications in health or related field

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Health Promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination particularly relating to healthy eating, active living and/or tobacco and e-cigarette control.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current Health Promotion theory and evidence-based practice.
  • Understanding of issues that may impact service delivery in priority populations including social disadvantage, Aboriginal and CALD communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with other staff and government, non-government and community organisations.
  • Effective organisational, problem solving and team skills including the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including skills in use of common computer packages preferably Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, social media and some desktop publishing skills.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
