This role will support the WSLHD Health Promotion Smoking and Vaping Prevention portfolio to achieve outcomes in tobacco and e-cigarette related projects. You will be involved in a range of initiatives and contribute to the reduction and prevention of tobacco and e-cigarette related harms.The Health Promotion team is:

The Smoking and Vaping Prevention team is looking for a professional with a health or related background area who ideally has:

• A strong understanding of health equity and the social determinants of health in contributing to Population Health outcomes.
• Population health program management skills. Knowledge of effective Health Promotion and prevention strategies to address tobacco and e-cigarette use.
• Experience working with priority populations, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse populations.

• Project management skills including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate a Population Health project report on the outcomes of a project.
• Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain partnerships with community, government and business organisations and agencies, and facilitate collaborative action.
• High level written and oral communication skills; computer skills; and negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, understand and work with, and within, a range of systems, sectors and agencies to implement change.
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a cross cultural context, particularly with members of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse communities.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
