Job Description
You will be a hands-on experienced H&S Advisor who enjoys working to best practices, with a team of experienced professionals.
Day to days will include, but not limited to: -
- Coordinate and manage all H&S processes and procedures across project-based activities.
- Cultivate the strong safety culture already within the business.
- Implement, and maintain the workforce management software system for the project.
- Conduct complex incident investigations and compile reports regarding site safety.
- Establish and facilitate systematic approaches to risk assessments and risk management plans.
- Conduct regular internal audits in conjunction with the Project Manager (site based).
- Consult with the Project Manager, and Site Supervisor on various safety aspects across the site for the life cycle of the project.
- Coordinate various Health & Safety meetings, ranging from pre-starts, toolbox to monthly Management Site meetings.
- Provide on-site/internal training to various work groups in relation to H&S topics.
- Updating documents as part of the quality system in consultation with the Project Manager & Operations Manager.
Profile
You will be a person that has a great energy to start the day with drive and ambition. A good lateral thinker and communicator that enjoys working to targets and achieving set goals. Your relationship management skills will be impeccable; you will have a dynamic character with the ability to self-motivate and self-mange whilst having a professional persona.
Skill Set
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of OHS regulations and legislation.
- Relevant industry experience in demolition or recycling industries (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience around ISO Australian standards.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
