About the role

We have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Officer to be part of our Health, Safety & Wellbeing, People and Capability Command. The role supports the delivery of organisational capability uplift with regards to safety, health and wellbeing through education programs and supports compliance activities through providing advice, assistance to commands/business units, Work Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinators and workers on WHS issues, legislation and best practice. 

Day to day duties of the role typically involve:Data entry in on-line learning portal for course session creation, enrolment, attendance and completion; Assist to plan, organise and facilitate Work Health and Safety training including liaising with local trainers for course placements and place holder positions on courses; Accessing pre-request qualifications; Assisting in the design of educational materials, research, plan and assist in creation of content including reviewing and updates as required to existing course materials; Providing advice on current and trending educational needs to Safety Education; Monitor the Safety Education shared email. Ensure sufficient educational materials for course needs are ready and available.
