We are currently looking for a highly motivated Health and Safety Officer to join our Health, Safety and Training team. The position is a twelve month Fixed -Term maternity leave contract, working a Monday to Friday roster.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring Health and Safety Systems and initiatives to ensure the delivery of business objectives.
• Developing, coordinating and facilitating Risk Management activities.
• Engaging with workforce and supervision teams to promote health, safety and wellbeing activities.

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in WHS
• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a health and safety role across any industry, with experience in the mining sector regarded as particularly valuable. A high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
• Ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
• Teamwork is in your nature, coupled with a keen sense of safety awareness, a drive for excellence, and a spirit of collaboration.
