Position: Health, Safety & Risk Specialist :
Reporting to the CEO, provide leadership and guidance in the design, delivery and continuous improvement of Coolibah Herbs’ Health, Safety and Risk Management systems and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and industry standards and safeguards employee wellness. In particular:
Qualifications and experience:
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have tertiary qualifications (diploma or degree) in Health & Safety together with a minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in the Agriculture, Food Manufacturing or Construction industries. You will also require:
- sound experience in implementing health and safety management and training systems, and providing consultancy and leadership support to managers and staff
- well-developed leadership qualities, sound management practices, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership with other departments
- excellent communication skills including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- demonstrated organisational and change management skills, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment, with an innovative and flexible approach to work
- strong attention to detail and ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands and deadlines
