Health and Safety Advisor
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the National General Manager for Safety, you will be part of the international Health and Safety Team providing support and overseeing risk levels across the work environments and driving risk reduction for Victoria.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, managing, and influencing the effective use of the safety
- management system
- Driving and developing safety promotion material
- D&A testing facilitation
- Customer and regulatory consulting on risk
- Supporting operations leaders to lead a safe workplace through training, advice and peer support
- Safety auditing and management in line with state and federal H&S legislation and customer policies
- Risk assessing work activity and environment
- Safety promotion through the development and distribution of key learning and information to influence safety mindsets
- Driving health and well-being initiatives across the network
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, minimum Cert IV WHS
- At least one year of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a warehousing/Manufacturing and logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of Vic OHS legislation
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations and Injury Management
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
