About Bass Coast Health
Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional HEALTH SERVICE for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.
In order to support our rapidly growing population BCH is expanding its services across its sites, including building works at Wonthaggi and Cowes. This expansion will ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our people locally.
Position Summary
The Health Services Coordinator (HSC) is responsible for the efficient co-ordination of flow and access throughout Bass Coast Heath. The role provides nursing leadership, clinical coordination, review of complex clinical care and support for all Bass Coast Health patients and staff across the 24-hour period. The HSC role supports the strategic plan and Executive expectations in line with this strategy.
Requirements of the position are:
- Registered Nurse (RN) holding current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA)
- Relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications or working towards same.
- Comprehensive management experience in a Health Service environment
- Extensive clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work in an autonomous and multidisciplinary environment
- Competent in the use of relevant electronic information systems.
- The ability to adapt to a changing work environment to achieve performance targets.
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
- Flu Vaccination
