PNG Field Mining Services (PNGFMS) is currently seeking qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics with experience on CAT Dozers and Trucks, who can fill multiple positions on the traditional island of Lihir, a 2 ½ hour flight from Port Moresby.
An even time roster allows you to use your days off to your advantage – exploring the coastline or surrounding trails. Whether it is visiting local villages and experiencing the traditional PNG way of life or snorkelling off the beach there is something that will capture your sense of adventure.
Remuneration and benefits are above market expectations and will be further discussed during interview.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for the roles, you must have the following:
Trade qualified Diesel Fitter
Experienced with working on the following machinery: CAT 785 Trucks; D11 and D12 Dozers
Advantageous to have experience with working on CAT and/or KOMATSU Diggers
A minimum of 4 years mine site experience
A minimum of 4 years post trade certification
A genuine commitment to safety
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a multinational team environment
Understand cultural respect and awareness
Willingness to develop, transfer knowledge and experience to the national workforce
Successful applicants must:
Hold a current Passport (with at least 12 months validity)
Be able to pass a medical examination, drug and alcohol screening
Be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Clearance
