Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

MKD operates a large fleet of Heavy Vehicles this position is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources to ensure the maintenance activities result in minimum downtime, ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements and safety standards.

You will be a experienced in general service and repairs on European Prime Movers icluding: Scania Volvo & Daff trucks and trailers. 

This role involves:

• Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged part
• Keeping equipment available for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintaining vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Carrying out general minor repair and coordinating OEM servicing and repairs as required.
• Responding to and resolving operational issues such as breakdowns, and off site repairs and maintenance to mitigate the impact on operations.

To be successful you will have:

• Trade qualified Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle).
• Proven experience in Heavy Vehicle service and repair
• Previous experience in fleet service workshop operations.
• A HR/HC licence preferred but not essential.
