Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Our South Australian business is thriving, and as such we are on the lookout for a motivated and team focussed Mechanical fitter (auto-electrician / diesel mechanic) to join our high performing team . This role will operate DIDO or FIFO from Adelaide to Whyalla.

As a mechanical fitter at Orica, you will provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica’s fixed plant and mobile plant on site. • General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;
• Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance;
• Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);
• Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;
• Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;
• Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practice.

• Trade certification in Heavy Road Transport or equivalent;
• Previous experience working on European Heavy Vehicles (advantageous);
• Ability to obtain a WA police Clearance;
• Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous;
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;
• Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license (advantageous).
