Our Opportunity Work Location: Pilbera Region Roster: 14 days on / 14 days off The Heritage Compliance Field Officer is a pivotal role within Fortescue’s Cultural Heritage team. Working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate, protect and manage Fortescue’s commitments made with our various Native Title Groups and Government regulations. Key Responsibilities Working safely to coordinate heritage surveys, monitoring programs and other heritage-related field activities in collaboration with Traditional Custodians and internal/external stakeholders The authorisation of on-site works to ensure compliance with the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021, Fortescue’s land access agreements and Heritage Sub Committee commitments and obligations as agreed upon. Build and enhance positive relations with key internal and external stakeholders to meet and advance operational and development requirements. Engender a positive team and workplace culture. Prepare compliance documentation in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with business requirements. Perform internal auditing of Heritage places both on country and stored cultural material that has been salvaged. Perform internal heritage noncompliance investigations. Ensuring Business Management Systems (BMS) is up to date and data is precisely delivered to required parties. Escalation of delays or issues that arise as appropriate. Qualifications and Experience Demonstrated ability to work safely and as a collaborative team member. Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to deliver results whilst working on multiple projects within tight timeframes. Highly developed administrative and computer skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and use new software quickly and effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, to establish and strengthen relationships. High-level interpersonal skills.
