Job description

Position Summary

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) are seeking an experienced HIM/Clinical Coder to undertake coding of inpatient episodes. CHRH utilises OPAL (BOSSnet) scanned health record which enables access from any of our campuses and also the option to explore a hybrid working model. Coding quality and quantity benchmarks are required to be met, as well as internal and external deadlines.

Our successful applicant should poses:

* Degree in Health Information Management or appropriately recognised Clinical Coding qualifications, with eligibility for membership of the Health Information Management Association fo Australia (HIMAA)

* Minimum of 2 years of clinical coding experience unsupervised

* Excellent knowledge of clinical coding standards and principals

* Excellent attention to detail

* Sound communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, set priorities and meet deadlines

Details of Appointment

Permanent position working 48 hours per fortnight (work form home with flexibility to be on campus on an as needs basis)

Salary:  Dependent on experience, as per award + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019.  Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
