What's the opportunity?

We're growing again and are looking for a Home and Community Program Coordinator to join the team. Whether you're earlier on in your leadership career, or have more experience under your belt, we'd love to hear from you.

The Home and Community Program Coordinator is a leadership role that empowers people with disabilities to access the support they need. You will coordinate a shared team of Disability Support Workers to provide one-to-one care in either home or social/community support setting and ensure staff skills are matched to client needs.

In this role you will create impactful relationships with people with disabilities, their families, support staff and ensure we support people with a disability the way they want to be supported.

In addition to the above you will also have responsibility for:

• Planning and coordinating 1:1 In Home and Community supports or 1:1 group programming.
• Supervising, managing, and supporting a team of support workers, empowering them to reach their full potential while delivering required care.
• Organising client specific staff training and inductions when needed.
• Create a safe and supported employment environment that attracts and retains skilled employees.
• Ensuring NDIS requirements are completed and managing program budgets.
• Actively search for and deliver new opportunities to further grow service.
• Providing flexibility, as you will be part of a rotating on call roster, and as needed providing hands-on support, staff training and emergency shift covers.

What do we hope you'll bring?

• 2-3 years' experience program coordination within a Community/Disability Services industry
• 2-3 years Leadership experience managing staff teams and coordinating programs/scheduling.
• Excellent English-language writing & speaking abilities.
• An understanding to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Current Employee Working with Children & NDIS Worker Clearance Check
• First Aid, CPR quals along with a Diploma in Community Services (or equivalent).
• Legal right to live and work in Australia.
• International Police check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years
