Corpus Christi College is a co-educational Catholic college in the southern suburb of Bateman, offering Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.
The College is seeking applications from committed and dynamic Home Economics Teachers to join the Design & Technology team on a fixed-term basis, with specialist background in Food and Textiles.
This teaching role is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate educators committed to providing our Senior School students with a well-rounded education.
Selection criteria:
- Ability to teach Home Economics and Textiles
- Proven experience in successfully planning, organising and delivering educational programs
- Ability to foster nurturing and positive relationships with students to cater for their needs
- Demonstrated competence in classroom management
- Understanding of explicit and differentiated instruction
- Proficiency with digital technologies and supportive of digital integration
- Commitment to continuous improvement, best practice teaching & learning, and innovation
- Ability to effectively engage with parents and staff in the interests of students
- Ability to work cooperatively and enthusiastically in a team towards achieving a common vision for learning
- Initiative, professionalism and tact
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the College
- Willingness to support the extra-curricular program of the College
Qualifications required:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Secondary Education
- Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or willingness to work towards attainment)
- Current Teachers Registration with TRBWA
- Current Working with Children Check
This is a 12 month fixed-term opportunity covering parental leave.
