Dianella Secondary College (SC) is seeking to establish a pool of highly professional, passionate, and innovative Teachers - Home Economics to join their Technology and Enterprise educational team for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2025.
A permanent appointment is available from this process for a Term 2, 2024 start.
As our Home Economics Teacher, you will ideally have the experience and necessary skills to teach across a broad range of Home Economics subject areas and have the requisite expertise in delivering Vocational Education and Training programs across Year 7 to Year 12. This includes an ability to teach Certificate II in Cookery and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In addition, you will ideally have a high level of knowledge and an understanding of the Western Australia Curriculum in Food Specialisations and Materials Design Technologies and the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) in Food Science and Technology and Children Family and Community courses. Experience in industry and/or delivering Vocational Education and Training programs, is considered highly desirable.
