PlantGrowPick Pty Ltd are looking for 80 people to carry out horticultural labouring duties on nut farms around the Boundary Bend area, including Carwarp, Wemen and Lake Powell. These casual positions will look to commence in late January / early February 2024 for a period of 9 months.
Key responsibilities for these positions will include:
•physical labour,
•picking and packing,
•planting and pruning, and
•general labour, as required.
Requirements of the role:
•being on your feet, standing for long periods of time,
•walking long distances,
•lifting heavy objects,
•working in various conditions (hot humid through to cold weather),
•be available for shift work as well as working out the entire season.
This physically demanding type of work requires a good level of general fitness and would suit reliable and motivated workers, with a positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions. Applicants should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as on their own when required.
Work is available 5 days a week, Monday to Friday for a minimum of 30 hours a week. However, sometimes work will also be available on weekends.
Successful candidates will be paid as pieceworkers or by the relevant hourly award rate depending on the work performed (pay rates are based on the Horticulture Award 2020 MA000028).
