Highview Nursery Pty Ltd is a wholesale nursery servicing the Australian agricultural industry, with reference to Macadamias.

Highview Nursery Pty Ltd specializes in the cultivation, grafting and care of macadamia plants, which is a self-pollinating tree that does not produce "true" from seed and hence the need for an experienced Macadamia plant Horticultural Technical Officer in Richmond Hill, NSW.

These tasks include:

• Analyse test results to produce technical data concerning different farming techniques, associated pests and diseases and environmental conditions that may be affecting production to support and assist the nursery and horticultural manager with reference to plant health, condition and yields;
• Carry out testing and experiments on soil, water, seeds, treelings, nuts, crops and other elements that may be affecting agricultural production;
• Initiate new methods of planting, fertilising, harvesting, processing and transporting of crops to drive commercial gain;
• Manage the innovation, research and production of stronger and greater nut bearing and crop cultivars, whilst servicing the Australian Macadamia agricultural markets;
• Provide advice to increase farm production, to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the nursery and related agricultural enterprises;
• Use data to facilitate efficient techniques for solving agricultural problems, such as droughts, disease and pest infestations.

To be considered you will need a relevant diploma and two years minimum relevant employment experience or at least three years of relevant employment experience to substitute for the formal qualification. You'll also need to have at least 1 year of dedicated employment experience in assisting with the cultivation of improved macadamia cultivars.

This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $70,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
