About the Role
With over 50 years of experience, our client is a family-owned and operated business located in Werribee South. Well known for growing and supplying fresh cut vegetables throughout Australia, they are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HorticultureNursery Assistant to join their vegetable nursery department.

Duties:
- Assisting across all areas of the nursery; sowing, cultivating, spraying, fertigation, irrigation, racking and dispatch of vegetable seedlings
- Assist with planning, implementing and monitoring daily and weekly nursery activities
- Movement of seedling equipment and materials using lifting aids and forklift operating
- Assist with achieving seedling production targets and quality control
- Completing documentation and data inputs
- Undertake regular general cleaning programs across the nursery.
- Follow company policies and quality systems
Skills and Experience:
- Current driver’s license and own transport to commute to work
- Current forklift licence
- Experience in horticulture preferred but not essential
- Chemical user certificate (Desirable) or chemical training course can be provided
- Horticulture certificate or similar
- Flexible to take on all tasks across all areas of the nursery
- Fit and able to perform manual handling duties
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills to communicate effectively across company departments
