We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person for a full-time Hospital Booking Officer position in the Front Office department. Full training will be provided. No previous experience in bookings required, however some experience in an administrative position would be beneficial.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Booking all patients in for surgical admissions
- Organising and distributing daily operating theatre lists
- Entering of daily operating theatre information
- Ensuring patient booking information is correct and up to date, and following up and confirming information if required
- Assisting surgeons, medical practices, and patients with booking enquiries and requests
- Arranging ad-hoc operating theatre time requests
- Liaising with Front Office and other interdepartmental staff and assisting as necessary
- Administration duties as required
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Superior organisational skills;
- Intermediate Microsoft software skills (Word, Excel and Outlook);
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Understanding of medical terminology.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working in a Hospital
- Previous experience working in an administrative role
