About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced housekeeping cleaner to join our hotel services department. The purpose of this role is to provide cleaning services and waste removal in line with the policies and procedures of the hospital and the hotel services department.
Duties
- Performance of high and periodic cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning lists.
- Terminal cleaning of patient rooms upon discharge.
- Cleaning of sinks, hand basins, toilets, floors patient rooms, internal windows in allocated area.
- Complies with Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Ensures cost effective utilisation of hospital resources.
- Comply with infection control standards.
- Comply with the requirements of the WHS Safety Management System.
Essential Criteria
- Flexibility to work mornings and weekend shifts.
- Previous experience in hospital and/or aged care cleaning.
- Working knowledge of infection control issues.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven effective time management skills and the ability to handle a busy workload.
- Customer focused attitude.
Staff Health Requirements
- COVID vaccine minimum 2 doses evidence.
- Evidence of measles/mumps/rubella, varicella, hepatitis B vaccinations and serology.
- Evidence of DPT vaccine no older than 10 years.
- Evidence of current influenza vaccination (but not necessary until next flu season vaccinations available).
