The role
The Hospitality Receptionist role serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming enquiries, providing exceptional customer service and efficient support to patrons reaching out to the business. The key responsibilities entail promptly handling incoming phone calls and email enquiries, managing small bookings, and directing patrons to the appropriate departments when necessary. This requires a comprehensive understanding of all venues and their services.
In addition to managing enquiries, the office receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining office supplies, ensuring that essential items are stocked, and overseeing venue printing tasks to ensure materials are available for collection. Furthermore, the role involves providing support to the functions team as required, contributing to the smooth operation of events and activities.
An ideal candidate for this position must possess a pleasant and professional phone manner, adept at handling various customer issues with tact and efficiency. Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach are essential for successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this role. This role would suit an applicant who has previous FOH experience and is looking to eventually progress to a functions and events role.
Duties and Skills
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming enquiries via phone calls and emails.
- Respond promptly and courteously to enquiries, providing accurate information or directing patrons to the appropriate departments.
- Enter small bookings information into the system accurately.
- Filter enquires into function systems for the functions team to handle efficiently.
- Monitor office stock supplies and re-order as necessary.
- Complete the required printing for venues i.e. new menus.
- Handle customer issues and complaints tactfully, striving to resolve them promptly and satisfactorily.
- Provide support to the functions team by assisting with various tasks and projects as required.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all venues and their offerings to effectively assist patrons.
