If you have experience managing a business “like it was your own” and you thrive on being the leader, making decisions and setting the strategy then this opportunity could be just what you are looking for.
The Regional Accommodation Group acquires leasehold motel businesses in regional areas and has a clear vision to accumulate a motel network that not only surpasses customer expectations but provides a safe, trusting, and empowering environment for employees to work in. At Regional Accommodation Group, our commitment to our employees and customer service is at the core of everything we do.
Our flagship property in Port Macquarie requires an experienced business professional to take the property to the next level. Your skills in business development will be important together with your experience and ability to manage and motivate your team. As the General Manager, your responsibility is to manage the asset which includes a 61 room motel, restaurant and function space. The ideal candidate will have the necessary experience and understand the key drivers of the business to achieve successful outcomes. Ample support will be provided by a company committed to investing in marketing through both internal and external professional resources.
Whilst you are the leader of your on-site team, you will also be part of the management team, meeting weekly by video to banter with your counterparts (at the other six motels) receiving and giving encouragement and most importantly having a laugh or two.
You will work closely with the Executive Team to develop and implement revenue, marketing, team culture and guest delivery strategies throughout the fiscal year. You will be joining a dynamic, growing company with a clear vision and a supportive non autocratic culture.
The successful candidate is likely to have;
- Previous experience as a motel / hotel manager in a medium to large accommodation property (over 45 rooms)
- Business acumen with a working knowledge of what the key metrics are to manage an accommodation business
- Extensive experience and knowledge of revenue management processes and implementing rate strategies
- Strong experience in running food and beverage outlets
- Working knowledge of human resource procedures and implementing these in a workplace
- Exemplary customer ethos
- Be comfortable with networking and building business opportunities.
- Be prepared to live onsite.
The remuneration package is designed to motivate and reward you for your commitment, trustworthiness, and performance. Commensurate with your experience the package incorporates a base wage (paid weekly) plus a simple and achievable bonus scheme (paid quarterly) plus superannuation on both. Onsite accommodation, internet, utilities, and meals are included, and you will have access to training to ensure your skills are enhanced.
If you are passionate about hospitality, have a knack for leadership, and are ready for a stint in beautiful regional NSW, we encourage you to send a detailed resume and covering letter to our Group Operations Manager.
