Meletos is a busy precinct encompassing an Italian inspired 100 seat boutique cafe, function spaces and exclusive accommodation. The Farmhouse at Meletos consists of 22 boutique guest rooms and a superb Tuscan suite in one remarkable two-story building.

Our team is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager who will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences by overseeing all aspects of accommodation services. They will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, comfort, and efficiency for our valued guests. Reporting directly to the Managing Directors and Operational management team.
This role would suit an experienced Front Office Manager looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful Manager should be looking to join and enhance the existing team and in return we are offering a competitive salary package.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day operations of a 23 room Boutique accommodation venue
- Lead and motivate the accommodation team, including Front Office team and Housekeeping as well as liaising with the Maintenance team to maintain a high level of professionalism and service excellence
- Establish strategies for on and off peak seasons
- Establish and drive Sales & Marketing strategies for the accommodation division
- Assist in developing and managing the accommodation department's budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in developing hotel policies and procedures and provide guidance to staff
- Workforce planning and rostering to always ensure highest levels of productivity.
To be successful in this role you will
- Have experience in Hotel Front Office Management
- Have a genuine passion for guest service and exceeding guest expectations.
- Understand the importance of building a culture around respect and inclusion.
- Possess excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Be comfortable communicating with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct and present yourself in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage a diverse team
- Exceptional presentation, organisational and outstanding communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and proactively. You will need to be able to commit to a rotating roster working over a variety of shifts from 7.30am – 12 midnight.
- Eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead a small team
- Must be willing to live and work onsite
- Have previous experience in a similar management position
- Strong knowledge of accommodation operations (hotel reservations and sales will be highly regarded)
- Hold or willing to obtain a Victorian RSA license
- Have full work rights in Australia
