Astina Suites is a vibrant new apartment hotel in Penrith. We require a positive and experienced Housekeeping Duty Manager to lead our existing team, where your role is vital to us maintaining our rating. As the company grows you may be given opportunity to advance in this role.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As the Duty Manager, you would be responsible for leading and supervising the house attendants, inspecting suites, and liaising with other departments.
The administrative duties consist of creating rosters, stocktaking, ordering, procedural duties, handling employee paperwork, interviewing, and onboarding. It is vital that you have computer skills for this role.
You would occasionally be required to perform general cleaning duties such as bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping and setting up apartments for incoming guests. The work schedule is done on a two-week rotating roster and includes weekend work. Normal starting time is 9:30 AM.
Skills and experience
Communication, organization, and a positive attitude are essential in this role. Cleaning experience is required, and prior management experience in a similar position is preferred.
