We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, passionate and energetic Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance team at Edinburgh North.
This hands-on role will plan, schedule and monitor all maintenance requirements and projects in a proactive manner reducing reactive and non-scheduled disruptions to production.
You will work closely and collaboratively with Production teams and all business stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing strong leadership and coaching to your team to deliver operational requirements with a strong focus on preventative maintenance.
- Build robust relationships with stakeholders, communicating in a clear and proactive manner to gain agreement and commitment to work towards common goals.
- Developing maintenance plans coordinated with production requirements and which ensure continuous improvement in a timely manner minimising downtime.
- Managing project development from scoping, development, targets, budgets, tendering through to on time completion and implementation.
- Manage and develop Maintenance team members by setting clear responsibilities, goals and accountabilities.
- Ensure the execution of all repairs and maintenance meet Health Safety, Environmental, Quality and Food Safety requirements & processes.
- Be responsible for the budgeting and expenditure of workshop equipment required, being proactive and planning ahead of time to meet operational requirements.
- Manage your team’s work schedules and rosters.
- Creating timely reports for senior managers to facilitate whole site operation and improvements.
- Develop and maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders to minimise disruptions.
- Undertake all contractor management ensuring completion within WHS, Food Safety requirements and budget.
To achieve success in this role, you will have:
- Broad experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated leadership experience in a Food manufacturing, industrial or production facility.
- Engineering or trade qualifications is essential.
- A sound understanding of computing, maintenance & CAD systems.
- Your experience allows you to problem solve and make confident, timely, and accurate decisions.
- You’re a natural communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- You influence, coach, and manage people effectively, allowing your people the best opportunity to meet business requirements, and embrace change as an opportunity to enhance the employee experience.
