Public Sector People are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to join a High profile State Government Department.
Role available 3-6 months extension. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join this busy department to provide high level administration support. Duties will include: Collaboratively respond to customer inquiries, conduct customer interviews, and make referrals to support service agencies.
Assess new social housing and private housing assistance applications. Manage tenancy arrangements, including the housing register, allocations, changes of tenancy, and vacancies. Conduct home visits to properties, investigate and resolve tenancy disputes and complaints.
Oversee property maintenance and conduct property inspections. Monitor and manage rent and maintenance arrears, rent assessments, payment arrangements, and sundry debts and collections. Utilise Microsoft products and IT systems to maintain accurate customer and property records.
Support workplace safety culture by ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies. Travel fortnightly will be required - Travel allowances are given. Skills required: A clear understanding of how your work and teamwork contribute to achieving broader organisational goals.
Proactive engagement and a person-centered approach in delivering holistic responses for vulnerable customers. Resilience and adaptability during times of change and uncertainty. Strong skills and expertise in service delivery, with a focus on providing person-centered solutions.
