About the role:
In the role of a Housing Officer, you will provide a range of administrative support services utilising a broad range of software programs and systems while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Assess customer needs and determine eligibility for private rental assistance.
- Apply legislation, policies and procedures to applications for rental assistance.
- Operate in a call centre/processing team environment with individual targets.
- Deliver a sustained level of productivity in a high demand customer service environment.
- Identify and achieve own work goals through planning, prioritisation, and organisation.
- Adapt work practices in response to changing technology and work environments.
- Support effective partnering with internal and external stakeholders to resolve customer issues.
- Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
- Manage new and unexpected events and demonstrate judgement about when to escalate issues.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and appropriate manner, maintaining the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
- Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication and you work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrate transparency, trustworthiness and are respectful of the views of others.
- Model ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour and consistently apply those ethical standards to yourself and others.
