About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the HR Adviser provides timely, accurate and educative support to the MBA senior leadership team, staff and contractors on all internal human resource management issues. This position is responsible for working with the senior leadership team and management on the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, all administrative HR requirements (including the monitoring and organising of team training) and providing support to the management team when appropriate. 

This position is also responsible for providing Executive support to the CEO and when required, the senior leadership team. 

Responsibilities   

  • Acting as the first point of contact to provide administrative support on human resources matters to staff employed by all MBA entities.
  • Overseeing all recruitment and selection activities.
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Leading the performance, annual staff survey and remuneration review processes.
  • Preparing employment contracts for new starters and liaising with Payroll Officer.
  • Leading, organising, and where appropriate developing, organisation wide training and development programs.
  • Administering the HRIS and various HR reports.
  • Participating in staff meetings, including providing oral updates on relevant matters.
  • Performing Executive Assistant functions for the CEO and senior leadership team including diary management, greeting and welcoming meeting participants, assist to prepare board reports, submissions and other corporate documents. 
  • Liaison with relevant stakeholders, including:
    • Staff and contractors working for all MBA entities
    • MBA Australia and other State based MBA Associations
    • Other stakeholders as required.  

About You

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • An ability to work well in a team and autonomously.
