About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join AEMO’s People & Culture HR Services Department for a 12-month maternity leave position. In this role you will provide operational support, coordination, and advice through business partnerships. You will be providing generalist HR advice, support and recommendations based on the organisations policies, procedures, strategies as well as State and Federal legal and regulatory frameworks.
What you will be doing
- Provide generalist HR support across the organisation to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employee relations issues.
- You will work closely with Senior HR Business Partners to support Division changes, organisational development, workplace relations and remuneration activities.
- Employee lifecycle activities both manual and system based, including contracts of employment, managing onboarding and offboarding, internal movements and organisation changes.
- Maintain and track compliance and governance activities - background checks, visa status, drug & alcohol, HRIS system governance.
- Ensure correct and secure record keeping of employee information and HR data.
What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
- You will have proven experience in a similar role within a complex and fast paced environment.
- Proficient use of HRIS systems ideally with SuccessFactors.
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
