What you'll be doingThe
HR Advisor plays a crucial role within the People team, with a focus on providing expert advice and assistance to employees and management in AU. This position requires a deep understanding of AU employment laws, regulations, and cultural nuances. The
HR Advisor will be responsible for handling a variety of HR tasks, including employee relations, performance management, and policy adherence.Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, your contribution will include:
- Coach and guide employees and managers on all aspects of HR including performance, engagement, development, HR policies and procedures, legislation and compliance
- Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the business
- Working with leaders to conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters
- Coordinate and support the Talent Management processes for AU with support from the HR Business Partner – Lead
- Collaborate with the HR team on broader people and transformation initiatives
What are we looking for?- Experience working in a fast paced environment (preferably retail, FMCG and / or Manufacturing industries)
- At least one years experience working in a similar role
- Preferred experience in employee relations matters i.e. grievance handling, internal investigations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (desired but not essential)
- Strong, proven understanding of EAs, awards, employment contracts and HR life cycle processes and policies
- Ability to influence and be an engaging communicator who rapidly builds relationships of trust with key stakeholders
- Demonstrates the values of a good team player
- Have high integrity, attention to detail and understanding confidentiality and discretion
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
