Our Hays Brisbane office is seeking a full time HR Advisor. This role is a 6-month contract covering parental leave commencing mid-April 2024 reporting into a Senior HR Business Partner.
Your new role
Provide general HR advice to Managers and Regional Directors that is commercial and manages risk, including performance management, mental health, parental leave, misconduct and management of Hays Policies and Procedures
Build relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide accurate information and advice on all areas of HR management and employee relations
Ensure the workplace is professional and productive, free of discrimination, harassment and bullying and provides equal opportunities for all employees
Collaborate and engage with the broader People and Culture team on HR related priorities
Escalate issues to Senior HR Business Partner
Generate regional HR reports as required
Drive and support engagement with Hays health and wellbeing, DEI and corporate volunteering programs and initiatives.
Analyse HR data to identify trends and where action is needed
Coordinate and provide data for annual employee engagement survey, liaising with group HR as required
Conduct verbal exit interviews
What you'll need to succeed
A tertiary HR qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Confidence in managing high volume ER case work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
An understanding of Australian employment legislation, Health & Safety and HR best practice
Proven ability to navigate and thrive in a complex organisational structure
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
Adept at building strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and prioritising effectively
