Overview of Position
This role is responsible for proactively supporting ‘employment’ related activities within the HR team. Specifically, the role will be responsible for delivering services in the recruitment and selection function; employment marketing and candidate engagement process; graduate and intern programs; onboarding, induction, and probation management process; management of HRIS; and policy compliance training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the organisations recruitment and selection function covering attraction, candidate engagement and selection processes.
- Support implementation of employment marketing initiatives to grow candidate engagement and expand applicant pools.
- Support delivery of the onboarding, induction and probation processes for all employees including management of related documentation.
- Support delivery of the development and employment programs; and the management of policy compliance training and LMS management.
- Ensure all HR administration processes are applied, and the documentation is completed and filed on employee files in a timely manner. Ensure HRIS data is always maintained accurately and up to date.
- Support processes for pre-employment checks, updating of position descriptions, management of employee CV’s and other related documents that ensure ‘Quality compliance’.
- Develop and deliver HR reporting, supporting the monitoring and improvement of HR processes, services and organisational performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification - Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.
- 1-2 years' experience in HR generalist roles and / or specialist Recruitment and Selection environments.
Desired experience and skills
- Knowledge of and ability to follow HR processes – specifically recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
- Experience working with colleagues from all levels of the organisation providing clear HR advice.
- Proven track record in delivering sound generalist HR support in commercial business settings.
- Experience supporting recruitment and selection, onboarding processes, employment marketing and employee development programs.
- Exposure to performance management, talent development and employee engagement.
- A high level of drive, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ approach to work. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; a willingness to learn and to seek answers to problems and issues and propose solutions.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information and situations with professionalism, integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
