The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been operating for 38 years.

Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, social welfare and education support.

Opportunity

We're seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join our team as an HR Assistant (All-Rounder). Reporting to the HR Generalist, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and key HR processes.

Responsibilities

Administrative and General HR Support

  • Take charge of managing our Human Resource calendar, ensuring no important dates slip through the cracks.
  • Be the guardian of accurate and confidential employee records, keeping our HR Platform (Employment Hero) updated at all times.
  • Create essential HR documents, from employment contracts to termination paperwork, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist to formulate and communicate policies and procedures, keeping our BCF team in the loop.
  • Be the friendly face behind our HR Mailbox, providing timely responses to enquiries and requests.
  • Roll up your sleeves and dive into HR projects, collecting and organising data to keep us on track.
  • Provide insightful reports from our HR Platform (Employment Hero), empowering our team to make informed decisions.

Talent Lifecycle Management

  • Collaborate with the HR Generalist to post job advertisements on various platforms, attracting top talent to our team.
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to facilitating interviews and selections.
  • Welcome new team members with engaging onboarding presentations, ensuring they feel right at home from day one.
  • Liaise with IT and Facilities to ensure smooth onboarding processes, making sure new hires have everything they need to hit the ground running.
  • Assist in offboarding procedures with care and professionalism.
  • Take charge of administrative aspects of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with department managers.

What You Bring to the table:

  • Previous experience in a similar position. 
  • Fundamental grasp of HR operations, procedures, and hiring.
  • Proficiency in HRIS Systems, with a preference for Employment Hero.
  • Basic understanding of payroll and award interpretation.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Capability to manage sensitive and confidential data with integrity.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to acquire new knowledge.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A positive outlook and a collaborative approach.
